WhatsApp OTP verification fails
Updated
Quick answer
Enter a 10-digit Indian mobile number that has WhatsApp, wait for the 6-digit code on WhatsApp and enter it within 10 minutes. You get 3 tries per code. Only Indian (+91) numbers can be verified, and only the workspace owner can verify.
Why Vyora asks for an OTP
Before your first campaign or workflow, Vyora asks you to verify a mobile number on WhatsApp. It is done once per workspace. Vyora then uses that number to send you WhatsApp alerts, such as when a campaign finishes and when credits run low.
You can verify from the Verify your number pop-up that opens when you click Launch Campaign, or in Settings, on the Workspace tab, under WhatsApp alerts.
How to verify
- Enter your 10-digit mobile number. The +91 is already added, so do not type it again.
- Click Send OTP on WhatsApp (or Send OTP in Settings).
- Open WhatsApp on that phone and find the message with a 6-digit code.
- Enter the code and click Verify.
What each error means
| Message | What it means | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Enter a valid 10-digit mobile number | Fewer or more than 10 digits | Type only the 10 digits, without 0 or +91 in front |
| Invalid Indian mobile number (must be 10 digits) | The number is not a 10-digit Indian mobile | Check the digits. Only +91 numbers can be verified |
| Invalid phone number | The number sent with the code could not be read | Click Change number, enter the 10 digits again, request a new OTP and retry |
| Wait 60 seconds before requesting another OTP | An OTP was sent to this number less than a minute ago | Wait for the timer, then click Resend OTP |
| Failed to send verification message | WhatsApp did not accept the message | Check the number has WhatsApp, then try again |
| Incorrect OTP | The code does not match | Check the latest WhatsApp message and type the code again |
| Too many attempts | 3 wrong codes were entered | Click Resend OTP and use the new code |
| OTP expired or not found | The code is older than 10 minutes, or it was for a different number | Request a new OTP for the same number |
| Workspace not found | You are not the owner of this workspace | Ask the workspace owner to verify, or raise a ticket |
In Settings, a failed request can also show just "Failed. Try again." or "Verification failed." Use the pop-up on the campaign launch screen to see the exact reason.
OTP not received on WhatsApp
- The number must have WhatsApp. The code is sent only on WhatsApp, not by SMS.
- Check the number shown. The pop-up says "OTP sent to +91" followed by your number. If it is wrong, click Change number.
- Wait a minute, then resend. Resend OTP becomes available after 60 seconds.
- Use the newest code. Each new OTP replaces the old one. An older code shows "OTP expired or not found".
"Invalid phone number" after entering the OTP
This usually means the number and the code no longer match each other. Do this:
- Click Change number.
- Enter the 10-digit number again, with no spaces, 0 or +91.
- Click Send OTP on WhatsApp and enter the new code.
If it still fails, refresh the page and try once more.
