Campaign stuck on Scheduled

Updated

Quick answer

A campaign stays on scheduled until every contact has a final result. Contacts who did not answer wait for their retries, and retries only run inside your calling hours, so this can carry over to the next day. Vyora checks with the calling network and closes unreached contacts as failed once the network finishes the campaign.

What the campaign statuses mean

StatusWhat it means
scheduledThe campaign is launched. It stays on this status while it waits for its start time and while it is dialling, until every contact has a final result.
completedEvery contact has a final result: answered, failed or cancelled.
terminatedThe campaign was stopped, either by someone clicking Stop or automatically because your credits reached 0.

A campaign does not move to a separate "running" status while it dials. Scheduled with calls coming in is normal.

Check the counts on the campaign card

Each card on the Campaigns page shows success, pending and failed. The campaign stays on scheduled while pending is above 0.

Pending includes contacts who:

  • have not been dialled yet,
  • are on a call right now, or
  • did not answer and are waiting for a retry.

Open View Analysis to see the split. Contacts waiting for a retry show as No Answer.

Why it can stay scheduled for a long time

Retries are waiting. A contact who does not answer is called again after the cooldown. On Free that is 2 retries, 30 minutes apart. On Builder and above it is what you chose, up to 3 retries and 60 minutes apart. Until the last retry is done, that contact is pending.

The calling window closed. Calls and retries only run inside your daily calling hours, never outside 9 AM to 9 PM IST. A retry that falls after the window closes waits until the window opens the next day.

The start time has not come yet. A campaign set to start later shows as scheduled with nothing pending until then.

The network did not send a final result. When a contact's retries run out, the calling network marks the call failed but does not always tell Vyora. Vyora checks campaigns that still have pending contacts with the network automatically. Once the network reports the campaign as finished, any contact still waiting is closed as failed (not connected after retries), and the campaign moves to completed.

What you can do

  1. Wait for the calling window. If pending contacts are waiting for retries and it is evening, they will be tried the next day.
  2. Check your credits. At 0 credits the campaign is stopped and shows as terminated, not scheduled. See How credits are charged.
  3. Stop it if you do not need the retries. Click Stop on the card. Contacts waiting for a retry are cancelled and not charged, and the campaign moves to terminated. A stopped campaign cannot be resumed. See Edit, reschedule or stop a campaign.
  4. Raise a ticket if the campaign still shows scheduled a full day after its last calling window, with nothing changing in the counts. Include the campaign name.

Pending and unanswered contacts cost nothing. Credits are only used for calls that connected.

Campaign launched but no calls at all

If the counts stay at 0 long after the start time, the problem is usually before dialling, not a stuck status. See My agent or test call is not calling.
